A warmer winter may bring earlier blossoms, while cooler temperatures or unexpected rain can delay or shorten peak bloom. The most beautiful views usually last about one week once the trees are in full bloom — so timing your trip carefully makes a big difference.

These are the places we personally explored during our 5-day spring road trip around Jeju. We rented a car, which made it easy to stop whenever we saw a beautiful blossom-lined road.
Hallim Park
Located on the west side of Jeju, Hallim Park is more than just a cherry blossom spot — it’s a beautifully landscaped garden complex with walking paths, palm trees, lava caves, and seasonal flowers.
During spring, cherry blossoms add soft pink tones throughout the park. It’s a great place if you want a relaxed stroll surrounded by nature rather than just roadside blossoms. You can easily combine this with nearby beaches like Hyeopjae for a full west Jeju day.
Jeju National University Road
The roads around Jeju National University become lined with cherry blossoms in spring, creating a dreamy pink canopy. It feels more local and less touristy compared to major blossom parks.
If you’re staying in Jeju City, this is an easy stop to add in the morning or late afternoon. The long, straight roads make it perfect for photos and peaceful walks.
Osulloc Tea Museum
Most people visit Osulloc for the green tea fields and café, but in spring, you can also spot cherry blossoms around the property.
While it’s not a full blossom park, it’s a lovely seasonal bonus if you’re already visiting the tea museum. Pairing soft pink blossoms with endless green tea fields makes this stop feel uniquely Jeju.
Jeju Sports Complex
This is one of the most famous Jeju cherry blossom spots. The roads surrounding the sports complex become completely framed by cherry blossom trees.
During peak bloom, it can get busy — especially on weekends — but it’s popular for a reason. The blossom canopy here is thick and dramatic, making it one of the best photo spots in Jeju City.
Samseonghyeol
Samseonghyeol is a historical site in Jeju City surrounded by tall trees and peaceful walking paths. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom within the grounds, creating a calm and almost sacred atmosphere.
It’s quieter than the sports complex area, so if you prefer fewer crowds, this is a beautiful alternative.
Cherry Blossom Tunnel in Aewol
Aewol is known for its coastal cafés, but during cherry blossom season, certain streets turn into stunning blossom tunnels. Driving through these roads feels cinematic — especially when petals start falling.
This area is perfect if you want to combine cherry blossoms, ocean views, and café hopping.
Aewol High School
The road near Aewol High School is another local cherry blossom gem. Long rows of trees line the street, creating a beautiful pink corridor during peak bloom.

Jeonnong-ro

How to Plan a Jeju Cherry Blossom Itinerary
1-Day Jeju Cherry Blossom Route (Jeju City Area)
Morning – Jeju Sports Complex Area
Start your day near the Jeju Sports Complex. This area is famous for its cherry blossom road, where trees line both sides of the street creating a soft pink canopy. If you arrive early in the morning, you’ll avoid traffic and crowds, and the light is perfect for photos.
Midday – Jeju National University
Next, drive to Jeju National University. The campus becomes especially beautiful in spring, with long roads framed by cherry blossoms. It’s less touristy than major parks and feels more local and relaxed.
Afternoon – Halla Arboretum
After lunch, visit Halla Arboretum for a peaceful walk. While it’s known for its greenery year-round, spring adds soft pink tones throughout the grounds. It’s perfect if you want a quieter nature setting.
Optional Add-On – Iho Tewoo Beach
If you still have time, drive toward Iho Tewoo Beach for a coastal sunset. While not a major blossom spot, combining cherry blossoms with ocean views makes your spring day feel complete.

If you’re only staying a few days, I highly recommend booking accommodation in Jeju City. Most of the popular cherry blossom streets — including the sports complex and university area — are located here.
Staying in Jeju City also means:
• Shorter drive from the airport;
• Easy access to restaurants and cafés;
• Convenient starting point for west or east day trips.
If you’re planning to explore the entire island for 4–5 days (like we did), you can still base yourself in the north and take day trips by car.

Renting a car makes cherry blossom season in Jeju much easier. Public transport doesn’t always connect directly to blossom streets, and having flexibility allows you to adjust your plans if one area blooms earlier than another.
Here are a few tips from our experience:
- Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) — this is required to rent a car in South Korea.
- Book your rental online in advance, especially during spring when demand is high.
- We rented through Lotte Rent-A-Car, and the process was smooth. They provide a free shuttle bus from Jeju Airport to the rental office and back, which makes pick-up and drop-off very convenient.
Having a car gave us the freedom to explore the island at our own pace — stopping whenever we saw a quiet blossom street, a canola field, or a scenic coastal road. It truly made our 5-day Jeju spring trip feel relaxed and flexible rather than rushed.

3. Do you need a car in Jeju during spring?
Yes — especially if you’re staying only a few days.
Renting a car will save you a lot of time and make your trip much more flexible. Many of the best Jeju cherry blossom spots are spread out, and public transportation may require multiple transfers.
With your own car, you can:
• Adjust your route depending on bloom conditions;
• Stop spontaneously for photos;
• Combine blossoms with beaches, cafés, and canola fields.
For a short spring trip, having a car truly makes a big difference.
4. Can you see cherry blossoms and canola flowers together in Jeju?
Yes! One of the most famous roads for this is Noksan-ro. It’s known for its stunning combination of bright yellow canola fields and pink cherry blossoms lining the road.
Unfortunately, during our visit, the cherry blossoms along Noksan-ro hadn’t fully bloomed yet when we passed through — so timing really matters. If you want to see both flowers together, try to visit during peak bloom and check recent photos or local updates before heading there.
5. How long should I stay in Jeju during cherry blossom season?
I recommend at least 3–5 days. This gives you time to explore multiple blossom spots without rushing and allows some flexibility in case bloom timing shifts slightly.
If you want to see more than just the north (Jeju City area), 5 days is ideal — that’s how long we spent exploring the island by car.
6. Is late March or early April better for Jeju cherry blossoms?
Both can work, but late March is often when blossoms begin appearing in Jeju. Early April can still be beautiful, but there’s a chance petals may already start falling if peak bloom came early.
If your schedule allows, arriving just before the predicted peak bloom gives you the best chance to experience full blossoms.
